Jackie was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on September 14, 1969. She graduated from Saint Aloysius in 1987 and continued her studies at Mississippi State University where she majored in history and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991 and a Masters of Art teaching degree in 1992. Jackie taught history at Hinds Community College for two years before entering into the legal field.
In 1999, Jackie began her employment with Deaton & Deaton, bringing five years legal experience with her. Jackie is a key employee of the firm and serves as a legal assistant and legal secretary. She is invaluable in the area of trial preparation and often attends and assists firm attorneys in prolonged trials.
Jackie is actively involved in the Tupelo community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Gardner-Simmons Home for Girls and is a member of the Tupelo Women’s Club and the Mississippi Tennis Association. She is a former board member of the Gumtree Museum of Art, the Tupelo Symphony League, and the Tupelo Women’s Club; past president of the Tupelo Community Theater Lyric Krewe; and Capital Funds Campaign Co-Chair for First United Methodist Church.
Jackie is married to Tommy Green. She and Tommy attend First United Methodist Church in Tupelo and have a daughter, Anne Thomas.
